Perhaps we should pay attention to 17 year old Lilli Tagger from Austria. She has reached the final in her first ever WTA level main draw tournament (saved 3 MP's!). Also plays a one handed backhand, would be great if someone like that reached the elite level. She also won this year's RG juniors.

Mboko is for real! anyone who can win two tournaments, and even a 250, beating Leylah.. is good! She is a lot like Coco, without some of her weaknesses.. so potentially even better !

Mboko was ranked 3, Leylah 2. It is not as if they are separated by a lot, at the moment.
Sure, she is young and will be rising a bit more. As you say, she has a high ceiling.

First tour level title for Janice Tjen, who won something like 18 ITF titles in the past 18 months. I've been watching her since the US Open and I would characterize her game as "messy." It seems like she crushes low level players, but struggles against the top 100 so far. With a good coach, she could make a mark.
