This is where we sit back with a couple of drinks and moan about out players.

Worst thing about Australia. You need to drink during the day.

Sounds like the best thing to me! The four Fonseca pickers certainly need to now!

The bottom part of my team is letting me (us?) down big time. Other than Norrie so far my B-D has a grand total of 120 points.

make that 170 with Norrie included for my whole B-D team. Too late to change to biggest loser rules? :)

I didn't trust Medvedev, but Davidovich Fokina lost first round. great.

Out of my 8 BCDE players, only Eala made it past r2.

1 BCDE player making it past round 2 might be the most :D Especially now that she made a semi!

I wasn't upset to see Davidovich Fokina lose, a lot of people other than me took him.

Painted myself into a corner and had to eject Sabalenka. Of course, I do think Rybakina is more likely than Saba to win but still.. all caused by Djokovic and Fonseca dropping out - they should have checked with me first, no? I am now so far back that only a Hail Mary will do - that is Mboko.

Yeah this contest is so short you can't really afford to wait if you fall behind in week 1.

My week 2 results are even worse so I may have to go total longshots,

Picking Ruud as an alternative to all the Shelton trades was questionable at best. And, as is so often the case, few questionable choices go unpunished :(

Fighting for honour from here on out, perhaps with even more questionable "Hail Mary" picks

If I had logged on 2 hours earlier Sunday PM I would have switched Shelton to Ruud. Guess I was lucky not to get back in time.

well, week 2...I have exactly 2 players still alive! Davidovich Fokina who screwed me in Wk 1 but I didn't want to waste a trade. And Keys, who at least won but did not look all that good early against Valentova.
