Not a huge surprise... played 12 matches in 2021, none in 2022, 9 in 2023, and 11 in 2024.

As a Canadian I always was a huge fan of watching him in Davis Cup. Outside of that I found it extremely hard to watch his matches

This kinda pissed me off. Low raked players are trying to make a living off something they've put years into training, sacrificing, and paying for and this non player actually gets paid for THAT performance?

I guess no one else entered or requested a wild card. Unless she bought a wild card or it was shady. Regardless, she cheated someone out of about $30.

Nor should they--at least most of them. Neither Sinner nor Alcaraz need another $1 million. They wouldn't even notice it. But for a guy like Jordan Smith, it's life-changing. (At least until we find out his family owns half of NSW or something.)

SIDEBAR: Winning $1 million is still life-changing, right? Or have we reached the point that $1 million simply delays inevitable poverty?

ANOTHER SIDEBAR: It would also be a really big deal for a scrub ranked #138 who struggles to pay transportation, accommodations, etc.
