Sabalenka had won 5 games in a row and Rybakina came right back and won 5 straight of her own. It seemed like there were a lot of errors when I was watching, but looking at the stats, they both had more winners than unforced errors, so what do I know?

IMO this is one of the extreme cases when second slam boosts the resume enormously. Rybakina really upgraded her status in the historical context.

Good for Rybakina. Backs up the WTA Championships by winning the Australian Open. Now she's world #3, and can she make a run for world #1 this year.

So glad she made me eat my words. And she was able to win a second mayor.
I just love the way she celebrates. A quick fist pump, and a smile. Something to say for being quiet.
