Today is the loudest the cicadas have been since their arrival this year. I don't see them very often--only when one of the outdoor cats is using one as a toy/torture victim/baseball--but today they are incredibly loud. During the day, the woods behind my house is worse than ringing ears that won't stop.

And at night, the frogs in the pond take over. Just to keep the noise constant.
