Congratulations Chad1: Winner of the 2021 Women's WSP!
Please join me in congratulating Chad1 for winning this year's women's Wimbledon Suicide Pool winner! Chad's pick of Sabalenka a few days before everyone else was the difference, as he was the only one to survive today's red wave. And while they are one pick short of beating the draw, that itself is an amazing accomplishment with the way the seeds dropped like flies throughout the tournament. Congrats again, Chad1! Dry will award you your shiny virtual medal at his convenience.
That's the end of this edition of the Women's WSP--join me in a couple of months for the US Open (complete with STANK or DANK picks)

Congrats Chad In these new days of the SP, to go this far is amazing.
You get your virtual copy of the Venus Rosewater dish, which you can use to use virtual salads or impose jealousy to the rest of us that are not as good as you are.
Hope you will add more hardware.
And congrats to all that played. We lasted way more than I expected

Congrest Chad, well played. I learnt that winning one of these is hard. I was hoping to be one of the winners for the men's side when Khachanov was up 2:1 and was sure to co-win the ladies side when Sabalenka won the first set. Respect for Pliskova controlling her nerves, that was not a given.

An easy readable clue about how difficult it was, is that you are a sole winner. No one else was able to keep up. Congratulations.

Thank you, ponchi101 -- in the alternate universe where the only difference was a Kerber victory over Barty, I hope my alt's congratulatory message to you for your solo win is even half as funnyponchi101 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 6:28 pm Congrats Chad In these new days of the SP, to go this far is amazing.

I'm from the part of the US where I'd have to make virtual "Watergate salad" to serve us all on my virtual Venus Rosewater dish. Watergate salad is a traditional summer cookout / potluck staple (seasonally appropriate), and it's green (grass court season appropriate); seems a fitting virtual recipe to celebrate the occasion.
And thanks to all for the kind words!
I *tried* to be strategic, but got awfully lucky. For example, I picked Sabalenka as early as I did because I'd confidently projected Swiatek to then take Sabalenka out in the quarterfinals (multiple things were wrong with that prediction) I'll take the luck though!
