I am not sure if in Spain it would be mandated. In some L. America countries it would be. In others (I believe Argentina) I think Gael could choose to use her name.
According to Wikipedia:
In Spain, upon marrying, one does not change one's surname. In some instances, such as high society meetings, the partner's surname can be added after the person's surnames using the preposition de (of). An example would be a Leocadia Blanco Álvarez, married to a Pedro Pérez Montilla, may be addressed as Leocadia Blanco de Pérez or as Leocadia Blanco Álvarez de Pérez. This format is not used in everyday settings and has no legal value.

At least she's sports related. Someone will have to explain how Megan Thee Stallion rates a cover.

It's not regular SI, it's the Swimsuit Edition, it's never featured only athletes. Most times it never featured athletes on the cover, that's a more recent evolution of the Swimsuit Edition where non-models including athletes would be featured. Megan rates a cover for being very popular right now and they can promote a body positivity message by choosing her.

In the beginning it was only models, never athletes.

One only needs to see her in a swimsuit to see how she rates a cover. :)

Speaking of Osaka, apparently the gasbag that is Megyn Kelly tried to turn her evil eye onto Naomi and her mental health on Twitter, got totally pwned (and then subsequently blocked) by Osaka, and is now having some sort of one sided meltdown.

Yes, so am I. 😊 These non-models on the cover is very recent. When I used to watch those 90s HBO Making of the SI Swimsuit Edition documentaries, those were always models, no question. I think the first non-model cover may have been Beyonce and it was after Destiny's Child, to put into context how recent the change has been. Still mostly models, but they mix in celebrities and athletes from time to time now.

Strange looking shots. They look very solarized.
She is one grand slam away from taking all of Mugu's contracts. But not sure if she can do it.

It's funny to me that you think that.

I like the photos, the second one in particular.
