Talk about the NFL
So, after 25 years, the Bills return to the top of their division. Behind a ridiculous game by Josh Allen, they secured 1st place in the AFC East.
If Miami takes care of the Pats today, they basically eliminate them.
The A/East now has two really good QB's; Allen is proven already, Tua still needs one outstanding performance to be included in the "new crop" of QB's that will be the difference for the next few years. Of course, the cautionary tale of Cartzon West will be with every QB for a long time, but maybe the Bills and Dolphins will be fun to watch for the next decade.

Re: Talk about the NFL
The Packers were horrible yesterday, but they may still get the top seed in the NFC. I'll surely be rooting for KC and Washington today to beat the Saints and the Seahawks because the Titans are going to run all over the Packers next week.

Re: Talk about the NFL
I like the Packers, but I really like the Saints. I think KC gets the game, but if NO wins, no big surprise.
The one thing about home field advantage: a few days ago I read an article in which the person says that the sole home field advantage that remains (because of Covid) is Lambeau. Not fun to play there in January.
And the Titans are not going to run all over the Pac next week. Might be a fun game, but the Titans will be forced to throw the ball, just to keep up with Rogers (he is not going to have two lousy games in a row).

And of course, the Rams hand the Jets their first win.
Because McVay and Pete Carroll MUST establish the run. Goff has Cupp and Woods but no, you have to run the ball.
And Russel Wilson went for 141 yards and 1 TD. Brilliant (although they did win).

NFL gifting the Saints a Sunday start meaning they'll get Kamara back for the game. I'm sure Saints fans will still figure out something to whine about.

They can't leave Kamara out. Too much star power.
But yes, it is a gift (says this N.O. fan)

And the Jets fire Gase. Only 15 games too late (he was already pretty bad last year).

Going to be some fun conversations on sports radio in the NE corridor after Pederson played players as he announced before the game -but- sure seems like it was intentional tanking which had the byproduct of keeping the Giants out of the playoffs

You're saying they should have fired him after the first game this year?
I never understood his hiring. He was no good in Miami, and if you look at some players that have blossomed AFTER leaving his tenure, you have to wonder how come he has been given so many opportunities. The most glaring example is Ryan Tanehill, who has not become sterling at Tennessee, but is a reliable QB that can get the job done, and has been winning a lot (sure, he has Henry for RB). Others are K. Drake and Robbie Anderson.
So, if serious, no, of course you can't fire a coach after the first game. But everybody knew this team was going nowhere, and perhaps the Jets should have done it together with the Lions firing of Patricia. Test somebody for the last games to see what can be done with the team.

Re: Talk about the NFL
^^^ There's a DB coach, a TE coach, a WR and an OL among the other positives besides Stefanski.
Heading into their first playoff game in almost 20 years. The Browns being the Browns. Can't make this ish up!

Re: Talk about the NFL
They already played one game with no WR's. Should be no issue playing with no coaches. Like the last time they won anything: let the Q B call his own plays.
I actually feel sorry for them.
