Re: Tennis Players Random, Random 2.0
The sad thing is, both him and Kyrgios could have been serious contenders for upcoming Wimbledon’s if they had taken their careers more seriously. But again, if they make a commitment now, I’m all for them turning things around as I find them entertaining to watch. I’ve been more critical of Nick in the past, maybe I’m softening as he hasn’t been very active of lateDeuce wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 8:41 am .

I think it's too late for either of them to reach their potential.Liamvalid wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 10:27 amThe sad thing is, both him and Kyrgios could have been serious contenders for upcoming Wimbledon’s if they had taken their careers more seriously. There's no question that they both possess enormous natural talent... and maybe that's part of their problem. When you're so naturally gifted, the tendency is to take your talent for granted - and thus work less. That's how lazy habits develop... and lazy habits can be difficult to get rid of.
Also, when you have that kind of natural ability, others are often telling you how talented you are. That, too, can lead to complacency...
In Tomic's case, he also had to deal with a crazy father.
Djokovic apparently once told Tomic that he wished he had even half of Tomic's natural ability.
But still - if you walk onto the court to play a match, you have a responsibility to your opponent, to the tournament, to the sport, AND TO YOURSELF to try your best. It would have been nice if someone would have been able to convince these two of that - we all would have benefited.

Tomic is indeed talented, but that forehand is a bit suspect. And if he truly believes he can win W, well, time for the 10-feet-long sleeves jacket and the cold water hose. An insane statement, specially in view he gave it with no conditionals.

Sad news, but if detected early, let's hope her prognosis is good. Wish her the best.

Good pictures. Not trying to sell her as something she is not. Elegant and poised.
