I like the DIY home repair theory better.
I prefer to think that Ajla named him that :gorgeous:

When she turns on the charm, she is very, very pretty.
(She always is, but this is a lovely shot).

Why do they continually make the mistake of saying that Monterrey a month ago was Leylah's 1st WTA title?
This is the second time the WTA site has made this same error in the past few weeks.
As I said before - it's not like her first WTA title was some obscure tournament in the middle of nowhere - her first title was the same tournament as her second title - just one year earlier. So... they don't have to do a lot of research to get it right.
But they got it wrong.
Twice.

Leylah on Family, Clay Courts, and Yoga...

And that is why anyone with a brain hates the WTA site. They don't do their players justice.

When Two Tennis Greats Realize They Are Neighbors
Posted by Scoop Malinowski

Image

In a one-in-a-million chance miracle, two superstar ATP champions actually recently bought houses and are next-door neighbors.

Kei Nishikori and Marcelo Rios actually live next door to each other on Bayshore Road in Sarasota, Florida. Rios lives with his family in a three story mansion which took almost two years to be constructed. The Rios clan moved into their new residence in late 2021. Nishikori lives in the modern home immediately south of the Rios abode. Both home are on the water and share spectacular views of Sarasota bay and Longboat Key.

The two tennis titans recently randomly bumped into each other outside and that’s when they each made the realization that they are next-door neighbors, according to an IMG representative who told me the story at the Miami Open.

The now 46 year old Rios from Chile, won eighteen career ATP singles titles and reached a career high ranking of world no. 1 in 1998. He is currently in training for a July exhibition with Alex Corretja in Santiago, Chile. His daughter Isadora now trains at IMG. Nishikori, age 32, has won twelve career ATP singles titles and his best ranking was no. 4. He is rehabilitating in Japan from a recent surgery and is ranked 54.
