LOL, and HERE is today's irony....I originally had put down Cornet, had considered Azarenka.....then, I saw ALL!!!!!! you monsters picking Begu, looked at the records of the two....and, EVEN THOUGH I HAD BEEN WELL AWARE OF HOW MANY CHINESE WOMEN ARE DOING GREAT AT THIS TOURAMENT.....yup, I switched over to Begu!! (IF Cornet also loses, then I might not feel so bad.)

I picked Alexandrova. Then I came back and switched. Then came back again and picked somebody else. Then came back and picked, again, Begu.

I. Had. Picked. Cornet. Which means that one should make their own picks, and ignore the bandwagons. (Except, of course, when they're right and you're wrong.)

When I came here this morning and saw all the Begu pickers, many with multiple medals (of which I obviously have none), I thought, "Wow, they must know something I don't. I probably should follow their lead." But I decided to go with my first instinct of Collins. She better not let me down tonight!

Every time I watch Lauren Davis play I wonder how she manages to win any matches against WTA opponents. Even though she knocked me out of the pool today, kudos to her for figuring out ways to beat more talented opponents.

I guess I just delayed the inevitable. Switched my pick from Alexandrova, avoided the Begu bandwagon and ended up taking van Uytvanck and losing anyway.
