Re: Talk about the NFL
It's a big blow, but they still have an all pro RB, WR, and TE, plus one of the top defenses in the league. I suspect they'll be fine, although it definitely will hurt their chances come playoff time.

Re: Talk about the NFL
Their defense has to carry them now, unless we are about to see "The Tom Brady Story, part II". They are loaded offensively but in the NFL, without a top QB, you can't make it.
On other news (or rather, opinions). I know Andy Reid is "a genius". But when you are going against Joe B, Jamarr, and the rest of the Cincy machine and your idea to beat them is run the ball with Isaiah Pacheco...

Re: Talk about the NFL
This doesn't feel like the Tom Brady story part two to me... they have a much better overall team than New England did then.
This might be more like Trent Dilfer (2001 Ravens) part two. A very strong defense and good running game that was enough to overcome some subpar quarterbacking. Was a little like that already with Jimmy G, although obviously much worse now.

Re: Talk about the NFL
Ok, a better example. But this guy at QB has an excellent chance right now. If he is half decent, he can lead them far.

Exactly he doesn't need to be an all time great like Brady with this team.

They need to bring in some soccer coaches to show them how it's done...

No, you are not. Today, during Morocco/Portugal, the only thing that the Moroccan players didn't do was ask for a coffee while one of their teammates wriggled on the grass, only to get up (eventually) and almost classify for the Olympics' 100 Mts dash.

Re: Talk about the NFL
Even without Jimmy, and Deebo Samuel now, the 49ers are looking very good still.

Re: Talk about the NFL
I know San Francisco has not skipped a beat. I know Philadelphia has the best record in the NFC (and NFL) now, but this 49ers team is very dangerous. If they were to meet in the NFC title game, that's going to be one helluva football game!!
