I didn't know we still did these practice ones. But I was bitter about that Miami Open win that I got was nowhere in my stats and no medal cause it was all I had at that point. It was very unsatisfying. I can't remember who, but a longtime member told me years later when I mentioned it that they added it to their signature line because everyone was going to know they won an SP at some point. So if you get to that point of bitterness like some of us other practice winners have, definitely give that signature line recognition some thought.
Your signature is YOUR signature. You can go full ♬ "LALA LALA, I BEAT YOU ALL AT THE MIAMI SP, YOU BUNCH OF FOOLS!!! ♬ if you want to, and you can post it with a :trophy: emoji too ;)
I mean, I am getting to the point in which I am about to put a little :medal: and a "day 2 survivor" legend on it, at the rate I am playing these things.
(yep, I am bitter at Danielle. 1st day? Again?)

No. PREDICTIONS is a different game. That one is a year long contest.
The Survival Pools are a game in which you pick one player every day, but you can't pick them again after that. We only play them for the Slams, but for IW and MIA, we play a practice one in which people keep their own scores, and it is very loose.
You can take a look at the way we play them here (that was for the 2023 Aussie)
Plus, we will have a contest called THE SLIDE INTO PARIS just before the clay season starts. And on and on.

All the games sound very interesting. Thanks for the information and I will take a look into the Aussie Open Survivor Game. Slide into Paris sounds like you could end up getting dirty with a lot of Red Clay.

This is our "prediction" game for Indian Wells:

https://www.talkabouttennis2.com/viewto ... =23&t=1361

Note that we have always predicted from round 16 on (except for a few old contests where we did a whole slam.) You email a list of your picks for quartefinals, semifinalists, finalists, and winner for each tournament.

It's a year long contest so you won't be able to win any of the 2023 categories. But they also post weekly scoring leaders and I have just as much fun winning those!

It can be a very hard contest to do full time year round as we pick every tournament, and some of the ones across the globe make it very easy to miss deadlines. I love the contest (and even ran it for a year on TAT 1.0) but I've cut back to doing it casually, and only making sure I don't all the big events like Slams, IW, Miami, Masters etc. Much better for my sanity when I miss a week. Actually, those top tournaments are a subset of the prediction game as well.

I'd suggest trying it for fun anyway and see if you like the format.

I am usually horrible at predictions anyway. I will take a look and see how you all doit and then jump on board no later than the French Open and will probably Slide into this Paris contest as well.

No, Scoob. You have not seen HORRIBLE until you see what we do here. I mean, people going 1 for 8 predicting Qfinals. Then, you have seen horrible

Omegadoom was too kind and did not suspend me for being a Zombie (and he can't ban me, because I have not given him permission to do so, even though I deserved it).
And I was kind of joking when I said: "let's see how many times I can looe in a SP". So I picked Vekic.
AND I LOST AGAIN!
I mean, you have to shoot a :zombie: in the head.

LOL, I don't mind, just keep picking you Zombie! At the rate you're dying, we will have our own version of South Park's "Who killed (Ponchi) Kenny!" :flamed:

After only 2 days of picks, we are down to just 2 survivors (that's pretty pathetic) and a particular Zombie, who's still out there wandering about!

Day 4 Breakdown
Badosa - 1
Fernandez - 1
