I wondered the same thing ...has China suddenly become more tolerant or will they position it as an all -china team, since they anyway consider Taiwan to be part of china?

She didn't win the title but you wouldn't know it by the response to her by Peruvian fans.

Fernandez and TT on a roll! Great play by both, making Wang look clueless...

Wang hardly misses a first serve...something to learn about doubles, for us club players

They didn't win but who had them making the Final? (I'm sure someone here did but still)

I think the doubles duo I would like to see more of is Hsieh/Townsend - that would be a fun pair to watch.

They are a bit too similar though . A good doubles pair, ib theory, would be a touch artiste and a classical serve and volley player..

In theory. And you are thinking doubles teams from the past, when both players would serve and volley. That is not longer the strategy.

Actually Wang and Hsieh did fit the theoretical model

I was not able to see them. Imagine, if I have problems watching WTA matches because they never show any (only at slams), imagine the dearth of doubles matches being shown.

Wang is a classical, conventional player with a good serve and solid game, Hsieh is a magician.. that is the perfect combination.
