So, Sabalenka for the title?
About 75% chance in my opinion.

Ugly meltdown?

Jabeur, as I posted earlier in the tournament, is outrageously talented. She should have beaten Rybakina in the final last year but the moment got to her. This time she kept playing and her better tennis skills won out. It should have been straight sets.

Beating Sabalenka will be a much sterner test, but if Jabeur keeps her belief, she will have a decent shot to do it. The last time they played at Wimbledon, she gave up and started hitting drop shots on every point. She's a considerably better player now, but so is Sabalenka.

Nobody is denying that Ons is super talented. But, from 4-4 in the second, Rybakina won one more game. That is the meltdown I am saying.
And I say that Jabeur has a good chance against Sabalenka because, as stated above, she can handle power and return it.

I bet it's not often that Medvedev isn't the skinniest player on the court.

Eubanks BH is an impressive shot. Sure, he makes some mistakes, but when it lands in, it comes with power and speed. Excellent for a one hander.

Regardless of whether Medvedev wins this match, I was dead wrong to say Eubanks had no chance.

I almost doubled down at the end of the first set and was five seconds away from posting that Eubanks' return of serve was on the Isner level, but he got up 0-30 in the next game and I held off. Medvedev broke himself in that game, but Eubanks proceeded to hit a series of returns for the rest of the set that Isner never even dreamed of making.

Fair enough. But I think she faded because she realized Jabeur was the better player on this day and got worn down mentally by Jabeur's shotmaking. And there has been more than one person here who has questioned Jabeur's worthiness.
