I looked up what it costs to go to the Aus Open. What a huge difference. I think grounds passes were still under $100 when I went two or three years ago.

I paid $40 for a seat on the Bullring (and grounds pass) at the French Open in 2016.

Is that at the box office, or are the only available by resale? I used to work for a charter-air company in Indianapolis. For $350, we flew to the US Open for the day and included the ticket and transportation! This is outrageous.skatingfan wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 12:32 amI just checked, and ground passes for tomorrow are going for $349.50.

Those were resale, but that's all that's available. Actually it would be cheaper - more in the $250 range - to buy resale tickets for Arthur Ashe, and then watch whatever match you wanted to. There were no tickets available in the upper levels of Arthur Ashe that weren't resale. I checked Seat Geek and there are Ground Passes for the whole event going for more than $30k.meganfernandez wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 1:09 am Is that at the box office, or are the only available by resale? I heard slowest of all the Slams. Why is the USTA slowing down courts? It doesn’t help American players and we need shorter matches (ie, shorter rallies). This should be a fast surface.

An explanation as to why the courts might seem slow to some people (and why Sakkari lost)? https://abc7ny.com/up-open-weed-smell-m ... /13717022/

Eva Lys after her loss in USO R2 speaks about her sudden illness: "I had trouble breathing deeply, my lungs burned a lot, especially during the long rallies. The physio tried to relax my diaphragm to get more air into the lungs. The doctor gave me something for my nose, but that didn't help much."
