The facial features are definitely Serena. The curves are there too. Cori has only won one Slam and wouldn't fit with the other multi slam winners.

I thought sort of the same. Serena’s face but not her body.

Apparently there's a food fight going on between Boris Becker and Nick Kyrgios on Xitter. I'm tired just typing that.

TENNIS PLAYERS (Off-Court Shenanigans)
Kyrgios’s interview on the Jay Sheddy podcast was terrific. He mentioned Becker and Sampras as examples of a former player who would struggle today in the more physical game with better returners. Said a big serve back then wasn’t as big as it is now.ti-amie wrote:Apparently there's a food fight going on between Boris Becker and Nick Kyrgios on Xitter. I'm tired just typing that.
Nick:
The game was so slow back then.
I’ve watched Boris Becker and I’m not saying they weren’t good in their time, but to say that they would be just as good now, it’s absurd.
A big serve back then was like 197 to 200 KM/H. People like me, we serve 220 consistently, to corners. It’s a whole different ball game.
I’m not saying they wouldn’t have found their way.
But serve and volley, to do it all the time now, you need to be serving 220, because if you serve anything less than 220, bro, Djokovic eats you alive. He eats you alive. Bro Lleyton Hewitt destroyed Sampras one year at the U.S. Open. That was the first prototype of someone who could return serve.
He made Sampras look like sh*t. And what would Djokovic do to someone like Sampras? It would be a cleanup. If Hewitt was doing it, Djokovic would destroy him. He would eat him alive.”
Becker replied:
Nick makes a lot of noise about tennis lately!?! Why does he speak about a sport he apparently hates …fact-check Nick has never won a major championship as a player or coach( yes doubles 1) so where is any credibility coming from ? Trying to compare generations… Laver v Federer , Borg v Nadal , Sampras v Djokovic!?! I am not even gonna mention McEnroe,Conners ,Lendl Agassi , Courier, Edberg, Wilander ,Kuerten, Bruguera , Rafter , Hewitt and many more …speak to your @OnlyFans about many things but tennis
Re: Becker’s claim that Nick hates tennis, Nick did say that in so many words in the podcast. Said he would like to stop playing now, that he resents some of the bad things it has brought to his life. He appreciates the good things but isn’t sure they are worth the cost he paid to his mental health and the gunpoint robbery his mom experienced. Like I said, the podcast was really good.
Nick replied:
Also I mean I’ve beaten, Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray so I feel like I have a little credibility…. But it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that Novak would wipe the floor against you in your prime? Like it’s not an attack. It’s just facts.
Right in cue, Rennae Stubbs chimed in:
Well said Boris, sports evolve. Tennis players get faster, stronger, better. Swimmers get faster, runners get faster, golfers hit further, there are so many comparisons BUT there is NO POINT in comparing eras. Its stupid! STUPID!!! SO JUST STOP DOING IT!!
Nick wasn’t done:
Hahahaha this bloke speaking about credibility…… last I checked you were the one hiding assets no?
Basically 99% of the tennis tour doesn’t have credibility then? Potato what about your boy Zverev? No credibilty? He hasn’t even won a doubles grandslam?
And I appreciate the @OnlFans shoutout!!!! Got the Boris Becker speaking about the brand!!!! Always knew you kept up with my business collaborations
Also… does that mean we both don’t have credibility @pmouratoglou ?????? Damn
Wertheim said:
Even if you felt this way - and for the record, Sampras + Becker would hang with anyone, esp. on grass - why diminish the previous generation like that? As the kids say, kind of a weird flex....
Me: it didn’t seem like Nick was flexing, or that he is wrong. Just discussing evolution of the game. It seemed fine in context of the convo in the podcast. When you pop it out and isolate it, it can sound like he was going after them. He want. He even said on Twitter that in 30 years he won’t pretend he could compete with the new kid because athletes always get better.

It's always been a tricky comparison. We'll never know how the great,s at their best, would fare against each other because their greatness is behind us and them. The racquets are completely different, much more precise and bigger. Not a different sport, but different equipment capabilities. Who knows how any of the players from the 80's-90's, in their prime with todays equipment and training knowledge, could have fared.

Yes exactly. Those players would be relatively better in this era. Can’t compare who they were in their era to who they would be now. Everyone stands in the shoulders of those who came before them.Owendonovan wrote:It's always been a tricky comparison. Didn't know they are a couple. 23 and 22 years old. People get married so young! Is this more common in Europe or Eastern Europe than in the US?

I always felt like it was more a case of us (in North America) waiting longer to get married. I'm guessing 100-200 years ago that was the average age we'd get married North America too

Re: TENNIS PLAYERS (Off-Court Shenanigans)
We wait because of college, longer life expectancy, more financial independence, not having to marry to leave home - several factors. But don't all those apply to most societies where people are marrying younger than Americans? I think some societies are just more conservative/traditional. I googled average age of marriage of Russia and US, and they is a difference of a few years.
