Would a comparison between Medvedev and Rios be unfair? I mention Rios simply because he was a brief topic of conversation recently (even more brief than his stint at #1)...

No. It would be fair. But Rios was different. Rios gave an air of disdain, like he really did not care about the game. He was a putz, but in a different way.
And Rios never said anything interesting. You have to admit that Medvedev has said a couple of funny things here and there.
