Up to her of course, but doesn't she really have anything better to do with her life now?

Do you know the history of Venus and IW? It is probably that...

The history of Venus and IW is well known. So, losing in the first round to Camila Osorio will do anything about that?

I am sure you know it but does everyone here? That is what I was asking

In THIS forum? Where Venus was one of the most liked players ever (and I mean, counting TAT1.0) and the Williams overall were super popular?
Yep, I think most people here now about that story.

IW and Miami are both slow..the only difference is the humidity in Miami...expect Doha results to be repeated here, not Dubai

So I was suggesting IW giving Venus a wild card could be just IW trying to make amends ..

I understand that Venus may feel entitled to make up for the time she lost because of misdiagnosis of her auto immune illness but her point has been made. Doing this takes a chance away from other players and that in my opinion is not fair.

I was not talking about autoimmune disease! I am not elaborating because it is claimed here that everyone knows the history !

We're all long time tennis fans here and yes we know the story. I was looking at it from a different perspective from the one we all know. Even there I think IW has gone out of its way to apologize and make amends.

I think that at this point she should step away gracefully no matter what her motivation is for seeking this WC. Maybe she will step away here, I don't know. We'll see. I just hate to see her considered a "walking bye".

Swiatek, Sabalenka, Rybakina should do well here- so also Anisimova, Noskova and Keys (if she is playing?)..those whom the conditions don't suit much- Pegula, Gauff. Looking forward to Bencic and Kvitova..
Medvedev seems checked out, and Sinner is out...Zverev and Alcaraz should rule, then..maybe even Rublev..I don't expect Michelsen to do much..Shelton may, he has the power to hit through slow surfaces ..
