She won the second set 6-2. I doubt the court got slower during those last 8 games.

At one point, Tommy Paul led 40-15 in third set's 10th game (up 5-4) after winning 7(8)-6 and 6-3.

Now we are officially even.

Will it be a massive upset comeback? See you at 1:45am.

If Sakkari survives long enough to meet Anisimova, she will probably beat her (though @meganfernandez and I have sworn never to predict anything about Sakkari, she is just too flaky!)

No, unfortunately I am unable to watch any TV at the moment.
My point is that sometimes, we get impatient with a player. Hey, there is another person on the other side of the court, trying to make their lives miserable. Sometimes, they succeed. In the 2nd set, maybe Anisimova started firing well.

Yes, she took a short break after the first set and got it together. The second set was pretty routine with Coco counterpunching and Vekic spraying balls everywhere. She double faulted once in the set on her first match point.

Tsitsipas down. Medvedev out a few days ago. Ruud out. You have to start adding Cerundolo, who looked promising a few years ago.
Rublev plateau'd also, Felix and Shapo are not getting any better.
That generation went away fast.

Oops, but yes, that set was also routine. Anisimova is actually playing very well.

Weed usually mellows you out so there must be something in the Evian at the US Open this year.
