Jumped 136 spots in the rankings.
Saw highlights against Tiafoe..he seems to be a marvellous volleyer, knows when to come forward, executes well...

I won't swear to the amount but she df'd a bunch. Like I said she checked out mentally before closing out the match. That is a coaching issue.

Meanwhile the second set of Shelton/Khachanov has been a good watch. Karen was up 5-3 and Shelton is now up 6-5 and about to serve for the match.

Shelton takes the match 6-3, 7-5. The second set was a war.

great win for Vekic over Navarro but it is increasingly clear that Navarro doesnt have the weapons.. she will need help from the court.. should not expect much from her till Cincy, then...

There is an issue with the mental aspect but, since she hit 21 DF's in her previous match, by now you must think that there are some bio-mechanical issues too.
I don't think she knows how to brush up on the ball to put spin on it, when serving.

That has got to be the most horrific attempt to slam dunk a ball ever.
If Sampras had had one so easy, the ball still would have not landed.
Ben has to curve his desire for the spectacular shot. You just hit a 150 MPH serve, buddy. The point is already spectacular enough.

I don't always hold much stock in court surfaces as a factor in matches, but this slow court has to be the reason Swiatek gave two breadsticks to Muchova. Their previous matches have all been extremely competitive.

They're trying to restart play after a lengthy rain delay. The forecast for the rest of the week isn't promising.
